Awesome trips coming. Can't help the bad weather. I look forward to new photos.
I didn't have a tripod for those photos but I was at the limit of what I could hand hold. The vehicles were moving enough to give me interesting blur. I'm working on bumping up to IS lenses hopefully soon so I can play more with that kind of stuff when I don't have a tripod with me.
Hope you get better weather soon! - Wayde

Hey Mike! Good to hear from you. I enjoyed your recent excursion at Hatcher Pass! I need to spend some time there. I'd love to see the old mining gear etc.
    Where you off to next?

I know what you mean about the guilt of stopping all the time for photos! That's what's great about photo safaris; you can hardly get people to stop stopping.
I'll look forward to more of your images as well. Cheers, Wayde

Hi, thanks for the kind remarks!
I enjoy your photos as well.
Are you a full time shooter? I see you're a family man like myself. Do you find it hard to balance shooting with family? I find I'm pretty much shooting and then giving my wife a break!
I look forward to more photos. Cheers, Wayde

    Michael,

I have flown over the area, stunning. Hope for good weather, few bugs and friendly bears. I stayed at Island Lodge on Lake Clark for 3 weeks last year. Nice people.

Eagle shots were on Douglas Island, Juneau. They are wild eagles and normally shy of people. I saw several on the rocks eating something and tried to sneak up on them. Of course they all flew away. Took me about 45 minutes of sitting still before they started to come back. I quickly filled my memory card snapping photos.

I viewed your photos and instantly recognized Mendenhall Glacier.I have been to Alaska and cruised the inside passage 4 times. Each time I was in Juneau I visited the glacier.
Your wildlife photos are stunning, especially the ones of the eagle in flight.
I am an amature photgrapher. My goal one day is to capture photos like that.

Awesome eagle photo!!! Was it taken in the wild?? My only eagle closeup photo was taken at a wildlife refuge in Ketchikan. He stood there and posed for me while I captured a lot of shots! Not very challenging, but the photos looked good!
