A couple of weekends ago, I drove about an hour North of Charlotte to Statesville where they were holding the Carolina Balloon Festival. When I first arrived, I must say there wasn't much going on and I was beginning to wonder if this adventure was going to be a bust. What I didn't realize was that the morning balloon lift had not gone off because of fog. Luckily, it wasn't too long before a balloon started to go up. I must say, it's a pretty daunting task to get one of these balloons up and flying....let alone 50 at the same time!
