On Monday, I flew to Denver on a business trip. After I landed I went to a local restaurant to get a little bite to eat. As I sat down, I noticed what appeared to be a photography magazine laying on the fireplace hearth. So, of course I picked it up. The magazine is called SHOT! It is published by the Photo Martini Club.

You may ask what exactly is a Photo Martini Club? Well, that's a great question! It turns out that this club was the brain child of someone who was missing the creative outlets of photography and painting that she had while a photography student at Colorado State. She decided to start a photography club where they would hold regularly scheduled shows revolving around a mutual theme. Now the photos in the show are voted on and the top ones are selected for the magazine.

 I thought that the timing of finding this magazine was pretty interesting given that we are doing our own online photography club with the ABC game.

Hi Everyone,

 This summer I spent 20 incredible days in Alaska. This where I met 11 equally incredible people. Even though we all were very different, we got along very well. I believe it was because we all shared a love for photography and a willingness to explore everything it has to offer.

With Wayde's guidance I learned so much about my camera and about photography in general. He got me so excited about photography that I find it hard to go to work. I just keep thinking of all of the great places I can go shoot!

I am happy to join this blog with my new photography friends!
