My name is Sarah, I'm 29, and I've dreamed of moving to Alaska for as long as I can remember. I have never been there, all I know is what I have heard from others, what I've read in books and magazines, and what I've seen on TV. The only way I can describe it is to say that I am homesick for a place I've never been.
My husband and I currently live in Washington State. We are planning a trip up to Alaska next summer, and possibly one for the following winter in order to get a sense of the extreme differences of the seasons.
I joined this site to make new friends and hopefully get some tips on moving to Alaska from those who have gone before me. I look forward to chatting with you.

hi i live in Alaska all my life and it can b very cold in the winter time. but latelly its been really hot out a record of 120 was last month and a 114 a week after.

we have been gettin less and less snow each year
after all the global warming is affecting everywhere exspecially up north.
our permafrost is melting very rapidly and eroding everywhere.
well its really changing and need alot of bug repellant (off) works well.
its pretty close to go out hunting for caribou but we still out and about pickin berries and makin salmon strips.
