Finally, after entering this contest for four years, I have won a ribbon. 139 people entered 900 plus photos. This is a juried contest and I entered nine photos, four of which made it through. Only 300 of the best go forward. Judging is done at the National Level. Five judges seated exactly 6 feet away with almost perfect lighting. They are given the title, then shown the photo for two minutes. Judging is by points (1-5) in five catagories, orginality, composition, technical, impact and artistic appeal.
